How to Set Up Two-Step Verification for Twitter on iPhone and Web
It always pays to remain one step ahead and have the much-needed security to ward off hacking. That’s why we have already made posts on how to set up two-factor authentication for Apple ID, two-step verification for Google account, WhatsApp and Nest account. Now, I’m all geared up to set up two-step verification for Twitter on iPhone and on the web.
Once you have enabled login verification for Twitter, you will have to enter the verification code when logging into your account. The code would be sent to your phone number associated with your account via SMS. Let’s head over to find out more about how it works!

Step #1. Open Twitter on your iOS device → Tap on Me tab at the bottom right corner → Tap on the gear icon.

Step #2. Next up, you need to select Settings in the menu.

Step #3. Tap on Account → Tap on Security.

Step #4. Now, turn on the switch next to Login verification → Tap on Confirm at the bottom.

Step #5. Tap on Start. Then, enter your Twitter password to enroll in login verification.

Step #6. Now, check out the phone number associated with your Twitter account. Tap on Send Code. Then, enter the number sent to your phone number.

Next, tap on Get Backup Code to generate a code. Make sure to remember this code for back up. I would recommend you to take a screenshot of the code and email it to yourself to easily access it in future.

Now, whenever you log in to your Twitter account, you will have to enter verification code which would be sent to your associated phone number.
If you ever want to disable the two-step verification, follow all the steps mentioned above and turn off the switch next to Login verification.
